Experience:
With 18 years’ experience in the field of stained glass conservation, Aaron has developed a strong reputation for skilled craftsmanship, technical understanding, and a thoughtful conservation-led approach.
He began his career with an in-house apprenticeship at a local studio, gaining a solid foundation in traditional techniques and workshop practice. Building on this early training, he progressed to a Higher Apprenticeship through the Worshipful Company of Glaziers, further refining his skills and deepening his knowledge of historic glazing and conservation principles.
Aaron later completed the prestigious Journeyman Award through the London Liveries Scheme, demonstrating both technical competence and professional maturity within the craft. He is currently in the final stages of working towards ICON Accreditation, reflecting his continued commitment to excellence, ethical conservation practice, and professional development.
Throughout his career, Aaron has remained dedicated to preserving historic stained glass through careful intervention, informed decision-making, and respect for the integrity and longevity of each piece

Experience:
Josh began his training in stained glass conservation in 2019, joining the workshop Aaron had undergone training, during a school work experience placement. Since then, he has grown into a skilled and dependable craftsperson with a strong technical ability and a clear understanding of conservation principles.
He is experienced in the careful removal and reinstallation of stained glass and leaded windows, as well as the removal and refitting of metal opening casements. Josh undertakes cleaning, releading, and wider conservation work with precision and care. Crucially, he understands not just how the work is carried out, but why particular conservation methods are chosen — always responding appropriately to the condition, historical significance, and long-term preservation needs of each piece.
Josh is now enrolling on the stained glass apprenticeship delivered by Swansea University. This program will provide him with a nationally recognised qualification assessed by ICON (Institute of Conservation), further strengthening his professional standing within the heritage craft sector.
With a thoughtful approach, growing expertise, and genuine dedication to the craft, Josh represents the next generation of skilled stained glass conservators.
